A great fisherman knighted to teach the prince how to land the big fish.
My sense is there is something wrong out back no birds on phone lines long! This morn no robin roam our lawn and no bird flocks the air do swarm. Where oh where have Feathers gone? Though now and then no finches lack, they flit the flora forth and back. Will this be the sparrows’ age with bigger birds in extinction’s cage? Chicken, turkey, guinea hen, save us with domestic’s ken. Which comes first the bird or egg? The question on our minds still laid. Do you suppose our Cooper’s hawk will meet the fate of past’s Great Auk? Let us for our bluejay pray they will around here long stay. That beautiful antsy raucous bird has not the melodyest song we’ve heard Yet and still, will our aviateers watch these blue for many years.
They say the robin is the harbinger of spring. Can we from bird life then, at all, learn anything? Say what you will about Dodo birds, but respect all wisdom of Rachel Carson’s words, “SILENT SPRING”, the loudest speaking ever spoke and not often heard.
